A FORMER Argus reporter made waves in the General Election after he withdrew from a hotly-contested seat.
Liberal Democrat Tim Walker, who worked for the newspaper in the 1980s, announced he would not run in Canterbury in order to avoid splitting the Remain vote with Labour candidate Rosie Duffield.
Ms Duffield is hoping to retain her seat after winning it in the 2017 General Election by less than 200 votes, beating Conservative incumbent Julian Brazier
But the Lib Dems have submitted another candidate, Claire Malcomson, for the seat, sparking outrage.
