AS CHRISTMAS starts to appear on the horizon, the “aisle of dreams” in Aldi and Lidl come into their own.
Here’s a selection of what both will have to offer in the coming days:
Lidl
On Thursday the “Middle of Lidl” will feature a variety of Christmas decorations. Fifty battery operated fairy lights will be available for £3.99, while a large set of premium glass baubles is £4.99.
A 1.8m fully electric LED Christmas tree will cost £19.99, or for the same price you can pick up a Melinera artificial Christmas tree.
A battery-operated fireplace lantern can set the winter mood for £7.99, while a fireplace surround to hang your stockings from can be had for £39.99. For those already preparing for January, a Christmas decoration storage box can be had for £9.99.
On Sunday the middle aisle will change to a variety of electronical goods. These include a wireless charging kit for £19.99, a dashcam for £24.99, and some Silvercrest Bluetooth ear buds for £24.99.
A Sharp micro sound system will be available for £79.99, while a wearable Bluetooth speaker will set you back £19.99.
Aldi
On Thursday, this week’s Special Buys will include a Christmas tree, a pot-grown Nordon Fir, a pound cheaper than Lidl’s at £18.99.
There will also be a variety of household goods including a bamboo bath tray for £11.99, a Blue Kirkton House velvet chair for £59.99, and a Memory Foam mattress topper for £79.99 for a double bed, £89.99 for a king size.
On Sunday there will be a selection of household electronics such as an Ambiano wine-cooler for £129.99 and a milk heater/frother for £19.99. An oil-free air fryer will also be there for £39.99.
