THE Met Office has issued two weather warnings for rain in Sussex.

Forecasters said flooding of homes and businesses is likely across the affected area, with bus and train services also experiencing some disruption.

The warning was put in place at 12pm today.

It covers Sussex for the whole of Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Met Office said the county will see a wet start to the day on Sunday with rain, heavy at times, for many areas.

It said: "Through the afternoon the rain will begin to ease with drier and perhaps brighter spells in the west. Feeling chilly under persistent rain. Maximum temperature 11C.

"Rain will persist in the evening before clearing, leaving many areas largely dry overnight."

Forecasters say the outlook for Monday is windy with showers, heavy at times and some drier, sunny spells.
