A MOTHER who used to get stuck in the slide is now running around with her children after losing seven stone.

Hannah Pattison, 31, dropped from 19 stone 3lb to 11 stone 10lb in less than ten months after joining a slimming club.

Hannah, of Crawley, said that before losing weight struggled to enjoy her time with children Lily, six, Emma, five and three-year-old Jax.

Now, since dropping from a size 24 to a size 12, she can’t wait to run after them in the park.

She said: “At the soft play or in the park I would always send my partner in after the kids.

“I wouldn’t have fit on the slide or the swings.

“Now every time they say ‘Mummy come on the slide’ I can’t wait.

Hannah, who is a special needs teaching assistant at Manor Green Primary School in Crawley, said had been big all her life but after joining the slimming club on January 9, she hit her target weight last week.

She said: “I was hoping to lose three or four stone by Christmas, but this has been amazing.

“Last New Year’s Eve I decided that enough was enough and after a bit of research, Weight Watchers looked like a plan that would fit in well with my busy lifestyle.

“I’ve been bigger my whole teenage and adult life, I Remember getting measured for my secondary school uniform at age 12 and needing a size 16 when all of my friends were an eight or ten. I was a very active teenager and did eight to 12 hours of dancing a week, but like a lot of teens I didn’t make great food choices.

“I lost 6lb in my first week, which really spurred me on to keep going. By the end of my first month I had lost over a stone, purely by following the plan and tracking all of my food and doing lots of walking. I continued to lose weekly and in September I added Zumba to my weekly routine, which I really enjoy.

“Weight Watchers has taught me to love food and cooking again and I enjoy eating out and never feel guilty for doing so as I can track it so easily. I’ve also found a new love for being outdoors with my family.

“I’m now the active parent my children deserve and I love that I can play in the park with them now and know I’ll fit down the slide or on the swings.

“I feel like a whole new person. I’m more active, generally happier and have a confidence I never had before.”

Hannah say once she has lost a few more pounds she will be relaxing the rules to enjoy a succession of family birthdays and Christmas – but she plans to continue eating healthily and keep the weight off.
