A CONSERVATIVE candidate donated £100 to his own campaign fundraiser and wished himself luck.
Joe Miller, who hopes to become the MP for Brighton Kemptown, has raised £490 of a £2,500 target to fund his election campaign. One donation, worth £100, was donated by Joe Miller himself before leaving a message reading “Good luck Joe!” in the Crowdfunder comments. The fundraiser reads: “Fighting an election is expensive.”
Mr Miller said: “To allow me time to speak to more neighbours in Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven I asked a friend, ex Central Hove Councillor Andrew Wealls, to set this page up for me.
“He decided to donate to my campaign, but forgot to create another account from which to do so.
“Andrew was a great councillor as many from all parties agree, so I am pleased he is helping and backing my campaign.”
