A HOLIDAYMAKER’S car has been stuck behind a police cordon – after two men were seriously injured in a hit and run.

The man was staying at the Amsterdam Hotel in Marine Parade overnight when the seafront road was closed off following the incident at 5am.

His car is impounded within the police cordon. “He was supposed to be going back to Middlesex today but he can’t take his car because it is right in the middle of a crime scene.

“He’s had to call a friend to come and pick him up.” Two men are seriously injured following the incident.

A third was also taken to hospital. Police said a large group of men had been fighting with weapons, when some got into a car and mowed three others down.
