CHRISTMAS displays have been unveiled inside a historic building.

Visitors to the Royal Pavilion in Brighton can sit in a replica of Queen Victoria’s sleigh at no extra cost.

Dressing up hats and accessories are available to create festive photos in the sleigh.

Glittering Christmas trees have been installed around the regency palace and Georgian desserts are on display in the Deckers’ room.

Brighton Museums has a range of events and activities on offer over the Christmas period.

Children can meet Father Christmas at Preston Manor on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday 15, and from Friday, December 20 until Monday, December 23.

Families are advised to book in advance and tickets are £10.50 per child, which includes a gift, plus the cost of admission.

There will also be a pop-up vintage cafe selling mulled wine and mince pies, and a Victorian photo parlour at the Manor.

A Christmas carol concert will be held on Thursday, December 12 at the Royal Pavilion at 7.30pm, and tickets are £30 in advance.

Two Sussex choirs will perform in the Music Room and guests will be invited into the Banqueting Room during the interval for a glass of Prosecco.
