BARGAIN hunters could bag themselves an early Christmas deal with some of the items listed for sale on the police auction site.

Sussex Police's Ebay page has listed more items for sale again this week, with a mix of items available.

Previously The Argus revealed that the force has made more than £850,000 from auctions in the past ten years, selling nearly 30,000 items.

This week, readers could break the spell of sleep with a Harry Potter alarm clock, which is listed for £21, with £3.10 costs for postage.

Money raised from the sales goes mostly to fund charities in Sussex.

Another offer is a Ralph Lauren handbag, listed for £59, with £6 postage costs.

But bargain hunters will have to be quick as it has already sparked 20 bids. The bag has a usual retail price of £210, and was for sale for £119.99.

Items for sale on the Ebay page are often items seized by police from thefts, drugs investigations, or lost property.

There is a Per Una white puffer jacket with detachable faux fur on offer for £8.50.

The force warns buyers that it has "multiple dirt marks" and said that while it can be washed, it "cannot guarantee that the dirt will come out".
