THE air ambulance has landed on a beach.

The helicopter was pictured on Worthing seafront at about 3.30pm.

It touched down opposite The Esplanade and left the area an hour later.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a private address in Selden Road, Worthing, at 2.10pm.

"We called in the air ambulance and they joined us at the scene.

"We would not provide further details on calls to private addresses due to patient confidentiality."
