A ROAD has been closed after a truck crashed.
Police are at the scene on the A272 near Bolney.
The cab of the truck was badly damaged in the crash and debris which was being carried by the truck was scattered across the road.
A Sussex Roads Police spokesman said: "Officers are on the scene at a crash on the A272 at Bolney.
"We are awaiting the arrival of Highways to clear the significant amount of debris which has been deposited in the road.
"Please avoid the area if possible."
An AA spokesman said: "The road is closed and there is queueing traffic due to an accident on the A272 Cowfold Road both ways from Buncton Lane to A23 (Bolney Cross).
"There is congestion to Ansty.
"This is affecting traffic between Cowfold and Hayward Heath."
