PARENTS are being warned not to miss the deadline for school place applications.
Submissions for Brighton and Hove’s primary, infant and junior schools must be made before the end of January 15.
This is for the school year starting in September 2020. A Brighton and Hove City Council spokesman directed people to the authority’s website to apply, and for further information.
He said: “If you apply late for a school place it is less likely that you will be offered a place at one of your preferred schools and you may have to wait to get an offer of a school place after the National Offer Day.”
National Offer Day is on April 16.
The spokesman added: “If there’s a good reason why the school application is late, we will consider it as on time if we receive it by March 8.”
He continued: “You must provide independent supporting evidence of the good reason, or your application will be treated as late.”
