A HUNT is on for relatives of the crew of a Lancaster bomber shot down in the Second World War.
Seven soldiers were killed when their plane was brought down over Lincolnshire in 1945 after they returned from a bombing raid on a German aqueduct.
One of the men was flight sergeant R.R. Russell, a navigator from Hove. He died aged 21.
Now, a group of volunteers are hoping to find his relatives.
Members of the Moseleians Association, an association of alumni from a school in Birmingham, are holding a vigil on the site of the crash. They hope relatives can join them on the 75th anniversary of the crash in memory of the plane's crew.
Barry Phillips, from the Moseleians Association, said descendants of three of the crew, including a family from Australia, have already come forward and will be attending the vigil on March 4 2020.
If you have any information, you can call the Moseleians on 07802 722867.
