A TEENAGER critically injured in a seafront attack is still fighting for his life in hospital.

One man died and two were seriously wounded after being struck by a car following a “large scale fight” in Marine Parade, Brighton.

Popular footballer Suel Delgado, 20, died in hospital two days after the attack.

Now, ten days after the incident, an 18-year-old remains in hospital in a “serious but stable condition” and a 22-year-old is in a stable condition, police say.

Following the incident on December 1, the A259 was shut for several days as police began a “painstaking search” of the area.

Detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team said they had launched a murder investigation.

On the day of the attack, a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

He has been released under investigation.

A 33-year-old man who was detained on suspicion of attempted murder and then later re-arrested on suspicion of murder has also been released under investigation.

A 26-year-old man is the third and most recent person arrested on suspicion of murder, on December 4.

He has been released under investigation.
