A VILLAGER has been banned for drink driving.
Dr Nathan James Johnson, 61, of East Stratton, was caught by officers at Micheldever on November 21 whilst he was driving a 53-reg Nissan Micra.
Magistrates in Basingstoke heard that Johnson had an alcohol reading of 58 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35. He admitted the charge.
Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 14 months, fined him £500 with a £50 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The 14-month ban will be cut by 14 weeks if Johnson passes an approved course by August 29 2020.
