AN EIGHT-year-old girl has been hit by a car in Crawley and rushed to hospital.
The crash happened this afternoon at about 4.50pm on Ifield Drive, in Ifield.
Officers from Sussex Police confirmed that the girl had been rushed to the nearby East Surrey Hospital for treatment.
Witnesses reported seeing around three ambulances at the scene on the busy road this evening.
The girl's family are aware of the collision and have accompanied her to the hospital.
There have been no arrests at this stage.
