FATHER Christmas swapped his reindeer for a pair of running shoes yesterday for the Santa Dash.
The event saw hundreds of runners, sporting Santa's customary red robes and bushy white beards, hot-foot it along Brighton and Hove seafront.
They faced high winds and biting cold conditions as they completed a 2.5km course starting at Hove Lawns.
But this did not dampen runners' spirits and there were smiles all round.
A 400m children's race also took place before the main event.
The run raised money for Brighton-based charity Rockinghorse, the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.
