A CRASH is causing heavy delays on the A27.
The collision happened at the Beddingham roundabout, near Lewes, at about 10am.
An AA spokesman said: "The road is partially blocked and there is queueing traffic due to an accident on the A26 northbound between the A26 and the A27 (Beddingham Roundabout).
"The accident reportedly happened near the old Beddingham landfill site."
The crash is also affecting rail replacement bus services running to Lewes.
A spokesman for Southern Rail said: "Just after 10am, Southern was informed of severe traffic delays on the A26, and were simultaneously advised that Network Rail engineering works were expected to overrun in the Lewes area.
"Southern are doing everything they can to work with other agencies and minimise the disruption."
Disruption is expected until 1.30pm.
The road has now been cleared and rail services have returned to normal.
