AT LEAST three people have been rescued after their van was stuck in floodwater.
The van became trapped at around 2pm today. Images from the scene show rescue workers knee-deep in the water setting up a tow cable.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue said its crews worked alongside the police to bring the people inside to safety.
The incident took place on the A281, which has been closed north of Henfield after the River Adur broke its banks at Mock Bridge, Shermanbury.
The fire service warned people not to take chances with floodwater.
