A FESTIVE charity fundraising day was held in memory of a little girl.
Staff at UK Power Networks took their children to work in festive fancy dress and raised more than £845 for Neuroblastoma UK and Age UK.
The fundraiser was organised by three mothers in memory of Aleena Hassan, the daughter of Sumera Hassan, who works in the company’s finance department in Crawley.
Aleena died in August from neuroblastama, a rare childhood cancer which causes tumours to arise from nerve cells.
Catherine Dixon, one of the organisers, said: “When we heard about Aleena it changed our whole perspective and spurred us on to make a difference.”
Sumera said: “I’m blessed to have such amazing friends through work and want to thank everyone so much for all the efforts they are making.”
