One lane remains closed on A27 after heavy flooding
ONE lane of a busy road remains closed for a second day after heavy flooding.
Part of the A27 Shoreham bypass was cordoned off yesterday.
An AA spokesman said: "One lane is closed due to flooding on the A27 Shoreham Bypass eastbound between the A2025 Grinstead Lane (Sompting Roundabout) and the A283 Steyning Road (Steyning turn off).
"Traffic is coping well. Lane one (of two) is closed."
Yesterday a spokesman for Highways England said officers from the organisation were on the scene and "dealing with" the situation.
