A FLOOD alert has been issued for two roads in Brighton despite recent dry weather.
The Environment Agency said houses in Old London Road and Peacock Lane are at risk of basement flooding.
The flood alert was issued yesterday and remains in force.
It read: "Groundwater levels are still high in Patcham.
"But after a drier period our borehole at Ladies Mile is reading a few centimetres lower than Christmas Eve.
"Groundwater will still be close to the surface so minor impacts of groundwater flooding are still possible."
