THE Duke and Duchess of Sussex have registered the trademarks for hundreds of products with their Sussex Royal brand.

The move prompted speculation Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be intending to roll out branded products from calendars to counselling services. However, they could be trying to protect their name from being used by third parties.

The list of protected items includes books, magazines, cards, notepads, calendars, clothing, hats and promotional and campaigning materials such as those used for education, charities or counselling services

The application to trademark Sussex Royal was submitted on June 21, but published on the intellectual property office website on December 20.
