A FRAUDSTER conned his friends and lovers to indulge his love of the Foo Fighters band.
Diego Grand admitted taking more than £11,000 from mates in Hove.
The Spaniard rifled through women’s handbags and got hold of credit and debit cards, which he used for Airbnb accommodation, tickets, and car rental for the band’s European tour.
He also took hundreds of pounds for pizzas and supermarket deliveries.
The 38-year-old has images with the band’s frontman Dave Grohl on his social media.
Yet he told one friend he had lost his job and needed a £2,500 loan to pay his rent, then failed to pay the money back.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court he answered to the name of Diego Grand Rodrigo, and admitted 14 fraud counts.
Magistrates decided they did not have sufficient powers to sentence Grand, of Holland Road, Hove, so he will appear at Lewes Crown Court on January 28.
