AN AIRLINE was fined thousands of pounds after transporting pets on flights without permission.

Norwegian Air UK Ltd was prosecuted at Worthing Magistrates’ Court for breaching the Non Commercial Movement of Pet Animals Order, the Animal Health Act, and the Rabies (Importation of Dogs, Cats, and other Mammals) Order.

It related to a flight into Gatwick in March.

The airline, based at Buckingham Gate, Gatwick, was fined a total of £4,200 for admitting the three charges. It must also pay a £140 surcharge and £334 costs to West Sussex County Council.
