Debenhams in Eastbourne will close on January 19
THE CLOSING date of a Debenhams shop has been announced.
The department store’s shop in Eastbourne will close its doors for good on January 19 after a troubling year for the company, alongside 18 other shops in the UK.
Another 50 of the worst-performing stores will be closed later this year, though they have not yet been announced.
After calling in the administrators last year, the firm is now hoping to cut rent payments on its remaining 163 shops across the country.
