I, LIKE many others, was disturbed and appalled to read in The Argus the article about the gentleman from Clayton Windmill who clubbed to death a fox that had become entangled in fencing.
The excuse I read in the article was that “I didn’t know what to do”.
This I found incredibly naïve.
Would not a normal God fearing person think I must do something to help this creature?
May I respectfully suggest, should you or anyone be faced with the same situation in future, that you contact a wildlife rescue centre, of which there are at least four in your area and who are available 365 days a year.
I am at a loss to understand this senseless killing of a defenceless wild animal.
All this planet’s wildlife, including Great Britain’s, is under the greatest threat to its survival than ever before.
Can we not make 2020 the year we all make an effort personally to protect and not destroy our wonderful wildlife and habitats.
Happy New Year.
