DENIS MARTIN

Aged 43, of Railway Road, Newhaven, admitted six counts of stealing alcohol from shops in Brighton, and stalking a woman. Ordered to complete 24 rehabilitation sessions and £80.75 in compensation, with an £85 surcharge and £60 costs.

FIONA FFORDE

Aged 51, of Church Street, Storrington, admitted using a disabled blue badge parking device with intent to deceive in St Aubyns Hove. Fined £1,000, with a £100 surcharge and £400 costs.

PETER GRIFFITHS

Aged 54, of Drove Crescent, Portslade, admitted driving in a Ford at a speed in excess of 30mph on the A270. Fined £115, with a £30 surcharge and £85 costs. Three points added to his licence.

MOHAMED CHIKHI

Aged 19, of Winfield Close, Portslade, admitted failing to comply with a youth rehabilitation order by failing to attend appointments. Ordered to complete 20 extra hours of unpaid work on top of the existing 180 hours and to pay £60 costs.

BRIAN DOUGLAS GENT

Aged 61, of Station Road, Plumpton Green, admitted drink-driving in a Citroen. Tested positive for 46 microgrammes (mcg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg per 100ml. Fined £340, with a £34 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for one year.

STEPHEN SHEARER

Aged 19, of no fixed address, admitted criminal damage to doors in Seaford and possessing cannabis. Fined £120, with a £32 surcharge and £50 costs.

Aged 48, of St John’s Place, Brighton, admitted driving a Vauxhall Astra without a valid licence or insurance. Fined £160, with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.

Aged 23,of Lennox Road, Worthing, admitted drink-driving in Kingsway, Hove, and driving without a valid licence or insurance. Tested positive for 50mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. Fined £400, with a £40 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for a year.

Aged 28, of Halewick Lane, Sompting, guilty of failing to identify the driver suspected of a road traffic offence in Shoreham to the police. Fined £120, with a £30 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.

Aged 51, of no fixed address, admitted possessing a knife in Brighton. Jailed for six months, with a £122 surcharge.

DILAN FINN

Aged 38, of no fixed address, admitted threatening or abusive behaviour, using threatening or abusive behaviour causing fear of immediate violence to a woman, and breaching a community order. Aged 39, of no fixed address, found guilty of drunk and disorderly behaviour in Pavilion Gardens, Brighton. Fined £25, with a £32 surcharge.

GEMMA JACKSON

Aged 37, of Chailey Road, Brighton, admitted stealing alcohol and yoghurt from Asda at Crowhurst Road and breaching a suspended sentence for theft, resisting arrest, and stealing a police radio. Jailed for four weeks, with a £122 surcharge.

BEN MASH

Aged 30, of no fixed address, admitted assaulting a police officer. Jailed for eight weeks and to pay £100 compensation.

LUKE COBBY

Aged 29, of Queen Street, Broadwater, admitted assaulting two police officers, resisting arrest, breaching a suspended sentence for possessing offensive weapons, burgling the Haskins Garden Centre, entering the same garden centre as a trespasser and stealing, burglary of a house, stalking a woman, and criminal damage. Given a 12-week suspended sentence and to complete 26 rehabilitation sessions. To pay a £122 surcharge and £170 costs. Put under a restraining order until November.

Aged 22, of no fixed address, admitted resisting a police officer, possessing cannabis, and breaching a conditional discharge for possessing cannabis and heroin. Ordered to complete eight rehabilitation sessions, fined £25, with a £90 surcharge and £85 costs.

Age 27, of Sullington Lane, Storrington, admitted drunk and disorderly behaviour and criminal damage to the seat of a police car. Given a conditional discharge for three months, with a £21 surcharge and £85 costs.

KAI MELDRUM

Aged 20, of Tamar Avenue, Durrington, admitted drug-driving in a Volkswagen. Tested positive for cocaine. Fined £300, with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for one year.
