A VAN driver was taking to hospital after a collision.
The crash took place in South Farm Road, Worthing this afternoon.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “We were called to South Farm Road, Worthing at 2.27pm to reports of a van being hit by a vehicle.
“ He was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.”
The injured man was loading a rubbish collection truck for clearance company Get it Done, and was thought to have suffered a suspected broken collarbone.
Witness Mick Symes said: “A workman was loading his vehicle and trailer parked adjacent to Southfarm Road cemetery, whilst crossing the road he was hit by a driver.
“He suffered cuts and bruises along with a broken collar bone.
“Ambulance and police attend the scene with in minutes which also reduce traffic to single file.”
