Roadworks leave huge delays on the A259 (Image: The Argus)
THERE are severe delays on the A259 due to roadworks.
Traffic is slow eastbound on the road between Brighton Palace Pier and Rottingdean.
A passenger on the 12X bus said the road was "chock-a-block".
He said it had taken him almost an hour to get from the Sea Life Centre to the Blind Veterans roundabout in Ovingdean.
Another said: "It's at a standstill. One of the lanes is closed and I've had to give up on getting home. I'm in the pub instead now."
There is a traffic alert for congestion on the A259 around Brighton Marina.
