A SCAFFOLDING firm appeared in court for erecting structures without a licence.
T&W Scaffolrding Ltd, of Albion Street, Southwick, had not got permission for work at St Michael’s Place, Brighton.
Brighton and Hove City Council said the poles obstructed the highway, in breach of the Highways Act.
T&W admitted the charge before Brighton Magistrates’ Court, and was fined £1,125.
The firm must also pay a £112 surcharge and £400 costs.
