Aged 44, of St Georges Place, Brighton, admitted drink and drug-driving in a Ford in Lewes Road. Tested positive for cannabis, and 123 milligrammes (mg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of blood. The legal limit is 80mcg of alcohol per 100ml of blood. Fined £120, with a £30 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for one year.

EMILY COOPER

Aged 30, of Kingston Close, Hove, admitted handling a stolen kettle and toaster. Ordered to complete 15 rehabilitation sessions, with a £90 surcharge and £85 cost.

DANIEL GOWAR

Aged 42, of no fixed address, admitted breaching a restraining order not to attend a street in Brighton. Given a conditional discharge and to pay £21, with an £85 surcharge.

JAMES WHITLAM

Aged 38, of Western Road, Brighton, found guilty of failing to provide a breath test in custody when suspected of drink-driving. Given a 16-week suspended prison sentence and ordered to complete the Drink Impaired Drivers Programme for 15 sessions. To pay a £115 surcharge and £1,500 court costs. Aged 49, of East End Lane, Ditchling, found guilty of driving in a Vauxhall without due care and attention on the A23. Fined £1,000, with a £100 surcharge and £650 costs. Six points added to his licence.

VERITY STROUD

Aged 37, of no fixed address, admitted drug-driving in a Volkswagen in Brighton, and breaching a conditional discharge. Tested positive for cocaine. Ordered to complete 10 rehabilitation sessions, fined £120, with a £30 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.

PAUL POTTER

Aged 30, of North Road, Brighton, admitted breaching a community order by breaching a curfew. Conviction for entering Burger King in North Street as a trespasser with intent to do unlawful damage. Jailed for 18 weeks.

Aged 30, of no fixed address, admitted burglary at Dishy Cafe in Boundary Road, Hove, and entering Baked Cafe in Church Road, Hove, as a trespasser and stealing a safe. Given a 36-week suspended sentence and ordered to complete 20 rehabilitation sessions. To pay £800 in compensation.

CRAIG KNIGHT

Aged 28, of North Road, Brighton, admitted two thefts of DC Marvel comics worth more than £1,000 from Waterstones in North Street. Ordered to complete one year of treatment for drug dependency and 20 rehabilitation sessions. To pay £200 compensation.

DOMINIC HOCKLEY

Aged 18, of Lanfranc Road, West Tarring, admitted driving a Ford Fiesta without a valid licence or insurance. Fined £362, with a £36 surcharge and £170 costs. Six points added to his licence.

SABINE PHILLIPS

Aged 45, of Buckingham Road, Shoreham, admitted failing to identify the driver of a Kia alleged to have committed a road traffic offence in Shoreham to the police. Fined £300, with a £30 surcharge and £85 costs. Six points added to her licence.

GUY-FLORENT BAI GOGOUA

Aged 37, of Edmonton Road, Worthing, admitted failing to identify the driver of a Volvo alleged to have committed a road traffic offence in Shoreham to the police. Fined £369, with a £36 surcharge and £85 costs. Six points added to his licence.

GILLIAN HARGRAVE

Aged 52, of Underdown Road, Southwick, admitted three counts of driving a Seat Leon at a speed in excess of 30mph on the A24. Fined £165, with a £30 surcharge and £255 costs. Banned from driving for six months.

JASON MELLOY

Aged 30, of Montford Close, Shoreham, admitted two counts of driving a Ford at a speed in excess of 30mph in Kingsway, and on the A270 Old Shoreham Road. Fined £200, with a £30 surcharge and £170 costs. Banned from driving for six months.

Aged 35, of Rossiter Road, guilty of failing to identify the driver of a Vauxhall alleged to have committed a road traffic offence in Shoreham to the police. Fined £660, with a £66 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.

ERIC REDMAN

Aged 79, of Edinburgh Road Brighton, admitted driving an Audi in Preston Road while unable to read a registration plate due to poor eyesight. Fined £54, with a £30 surcharge and £85 costs. Three points added to his licence.

Aged 38, of Park Road, Brighton, guilty of driving a Suzuki Grand Vitara without a valid licence and without a valid MOT on the A27 at Falmer. Fined £440, with a £30 surcharge and £85 costs.
