Cllr Paul Mansfield makes a donation to the Adur Winter Sock Appeal
A COUNCILLOR who slept rough for a week has urged people to donate their unwanted socks to the homeless.
Adur district councillor Paul Mansfield wants residents to give away new pairs of socks to help rough sleepers in the area.
Cllr Mansfield said his week of sleeping rough last year opened his eyes to the struggles of the homeless.
“It made me want to do something to support those in need, particularly when it gets cold,” he said.
Donation points have been set up in the Shoreham Centre and Worthing Town Hall.
