A DEMONSTRATION will take place today.
Members of environmental activist group Extinction Rebellion will march from Hollingbury Golf Course down Ditchling Road to the Level in Brighton.
Brighton and Hove buses said delays are expected in this area, as well as around Hove Town Hall, where some demonstrators are expected to congregate.
The Demonstrate for the Downs march will start at 11am and is expected to go on until 3pm.
The march is part of the group's campaign to urge Brighton and Hove City Council to rewild Hollingbury Park and Waterhall golf courses.
The leases of both courses expire in March.
The council's tourism, equalities, communities and culture committee (TECC) will meet on Thursday, January 16 to review tenders, with a view to granting a 25-year lease for both sites.
