A POPULAR pub will open for the last time this weekend.
The Sussex Cricketers at Sussex Cricket Ground is being demolished to make way for 37 new flats.
The Ember Inns pub will close for good on Sunday.
More than £20 million is being invested in the ground in Eaton Road, Hove. As well as the new flat block and pub, changes will be made to the cricket ground.
The old Tate Gates will be reinstalled at the ground’s entrance alongside a new clock tower. The revamped pub will be open plan and have a terrace for visitors.
The flats in Eaton Road will provide 37 homes, including one four-bed apartment.
