A PRIMARY school has been rated “good” after an inspection by Ofsted.
Woodingdean Primary School in Warren Road, Brighton, was given the second highest rating following a visit from inspectors on November 28 and 29.
They found pupils enjoyed going to the school, governors were keen for all children to achieve their potential and safeguarding measures were effective.
The inspectors’ report said: “Pupils who have difficulty making the right choices about how to behave get a range of effective support.
“They take part in activities alongside their friends. Bullying is uncommon and pupils know that staff deal with it promptly. Pupils feel safe.”
Inspectors have recommended how the school improve to the highest rating, “outstanding”.
They said that leaders need to make sure strategies are in place to improve learning in English and maths.
