OUR Argus Camera Club members braved the wind and waves as Storm Brendan battered Sussex this week.
But their hard work was not for nothing - they took some stunning photos of the wild weather.
Though the storm has now wound down, it continued to cause chaos throughout the night.
The bad weather affected air, rail and road travel due to high winds and heavy rain.
One person was trapped in a vehicle in floodwater in Lickfold in West Sussex and had to be rescued by fire crews from Chichester.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service issued a warning for others not to take “unnecessary risks” during Storm Brendan.
Falling trees have blocked roads and rail lines, and tree surgeons have been working overnight to clear branches from the tracks.
Meanwhile power cuts hit Sussex due to the storm, with UK Power Networks dispatching engineers to restore supplies.
The South Terminal access road to Gatwick Airport was closed and passengers flying in to the airport were diverted as British Airways said is was not safe for landings because of the wind gusts.
The Met Office issued a yellow warning for rain until 9am this morning, with delays expected on the roads.
