SEVEN men have been charged over an alleged fraud where dozens of people had their driving licences and credit cards cloned.
Police believe that more than 70 victims across seven counties were targeted between September 2017 and August 2018.
The suspects are accused of cloning driving licences and credit cards belonging to residents in Sussex.
Those who have been charged are:
- William Benning, 32, of Callisto Close, Crawley, West Sussex, who is accused of six counts of money laundering;
- Daniel Myers, 42, of no fixed address, accused of three counts of money laundering, one count of conspiracy to commit fraud, one count of fraud and one count of possession of cocaine;
- Peter Heather, 78, of Hazlitt Road, Hammersmith, west London, who is charged with five counts of fraud;
- Malcolm McGregor, 37, of Moor Park Crescent, Crawley, West Sussex, who faces three counts of money laundering;
- Kenneth Korsah, 42, of Goldhawk Road, Shepherd’s Bush, west London, charged with one count of conspiracy to commit fraud and one count of fraud;
- Zakiyyah McCurbin-Myers, 20, of Garton Place, Wandsworth, south-west London, accused of one count of fraud;
- Imarn Bhatti, 32, of Rushmans Road, Horsham, West Sussex, who is charged with one count of money laundering.
They will all appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on February 12.
