A SHOPLIFTER was tackled to the ground by police.
Officers surrounded the man on Monday outside St James' House in Brighton.
Sussex Police said they were called to a report of a man shoplifting from Boots, St James Street around 2.20pm.
The suspect was later found outside a block of flats on the High Street.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft and has been released under investigation.
The arrest came during a day of action on the street.
