POLICE launched a manhunt after a suspect fled from security guards.
Officers were called to Western Road, Brighton, and witnesses saw a man sprinting away from them.
The incident is believed to have happened between the Cex shop and Caffe Nero, near Preston Street.
One witness said: “A police care rushed past me with its blue lights on and then
there were police officers in Cex.
“Security guards started shouting and I could see a man running down a side street. He legged it.
“It looked like he was wearing all black, he was in a hurry to get out of there.
“The security guards and police raced after him.
“Officers are doing laps around the area trying to find him.”
Police said: “We attended Western Road, Brighton, at 3.10pm on Wednesday to reports a wanted man was in the area.
“Officers arrested a 32-year-old man, who was wanted for breaching a court order, in Oriental Place.”
He was held in custody.
