HEAVY rain is predicted to hit parts of Sussex this afternoon.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain stretching from Brighton and Hove to Southampton.
It is in place from 3pm to 11.45pm.
A West Sussex County Council spokesman said: "Heavy rain is expected this afternoon and evening leading to some flooding in a few locations.
"Please take extra care if you're out on the roads."
The Met Office also warned of "spells of heavy rain".
A spokesman said: "Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.
"Bus and train services will probably be affected with journey times taking longer.
"Spray and flooding on the roads will also probably make journey times longer."
