A ZOO has announced its charity of the year.

Drusillas Park in Alfriston is proud to be supporting Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital (GOSH) in 2020.

The animal park will host visits from children at GOSH so they can explore the attractions, including a ride on the Safari Express train and the new Rainforest Carousel.

GOSH will have an ongoing presence at the park and fundraising opportunities are being planned throughout the year.

Drusillas Park director and head of marketing Cassie Poland said: “We are thrilled to be working with Great Ormond Street in 2020.

“As Drusillas Park is enjoyed by so many young families it is very important to us to support a charity that provides such amazing care for children.

“We are very proud to be partnering with Great Ormond Street and look forward to working closely with them over the course of the year.”

GOSH is in the Bloomsbury area of London. Every day, 619 children and young people from across the UK arrive at the hospital, which has always depended on charitable support to treat seriously ill children.

Marian Ayo, fundraising executive at GOSH, said: “We are incredibly grateful for Drusillas Park’s support

“We look forward to working together over the coming year.”
