THE best of Sussex’s nature will be celebrated this year in a bid to reconnect residents with the environment.
Environmental groups have come together to organise Nature2020, a year-long celebration of the county’s diverse wildlife.
The area between the rivers Adur and Ouse is designated a “World Biosphere Reserve” by the United Nations as a “global example of sustainable development”.
Events will run all through to year to put people back in touch with nature, said programme manager Sarah Dobson.
“Nature2020 is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to celebrate and learn about our world class environment of Downs, towns and coast, bringing people and nature together to inspire a positive future, today,” she said.
