READING The Argus article I noticed the 'punishment' given to someone for attacking another man in Brighton, 160 hours of Community Service did not surprise me.
In this day and age, more and more violent offenders appear to receive less in the way of 'deterrent' sentences in prison.
Perhaps the criminal should be given a toothbrush and some cleaner and set to work removing the endless graffiti in our city for 160 hours.
Now that would be a deterrent.
