A CHEF has been charged with assault and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Lukasz Nowak, of no fixed address, was arrested in Kingswood Street, Brighton, at 7.21pm on Saturday.
The 31-year-old has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, breach of a domestic violence protection order, resisting a constable in the execution of his duty and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Nowak was remanded in custody and appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
