FIRE crews are warning of the dangers of tumble dryers after one of the appliances caught fire.
A blaze sparked following an electrical fault at a property in Buckingham Place, Brighton, on Monday.
Two fire crews attended the scene but the fire was out on arrival.
An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “Never leave your home with the tumble dryer running, however tempting this may be. This applies to washing machines too, as fires caused by electricals in the home are far more common than people realise. They are a weekly occurrence for us.”
