Police find lost horses in Piddinghoe Road, Lewes
POLICE are looking to return a pair of mares to their owners after finding the horses wandering along a country road.
Officers came across the animals in Piddinghoe Road, near Lewes, at about 1pm.
A Lewes Police spokesman said: "Are these your horses?
"Neigh problem, they're safe.
"Call us on 101 quoting reference 511 23/01."
The force provided an update shortly after 2.20pm to say the horses have been reunited with their owners.
