ROADWORKERS suffered a motoring mishap as their digger took a tumble.
The vehicle toppled onto its side in Southover Street, Brighton.
It is unkown how it came to be lying on its side.
It was spotted by an Argus reader who snapped the scene at 3pm.
The digger is within a fenced off area surrounded by a pile of rubble torn up from the road.
Roadworks are currently being carried out in the street by electricity company UK Power Networks.
The company said it is carrying out "essential and immediate repairs to a low voltage service cable".
Temporary traffic lights are in place.
The works are scheduled to continue until January 29.
