PEOPLE of all ages and nationalities were awarded their degrees at a winter graduation event.
Almost 2,000 University of Sussex students were handed their scrolls by chancellor, actor and comedian Sanjeev Bhaskar.
He awarded the degrees to students aged between 21 and 76 from 43 countries in ceremonies on Wednesday and Thursday.
Most were receiving their Masters and PhD level qualifications.
Professor Adam Tickell, the university’s vice-chancellor, said: “At Sussex, we encourage our students to challenge assumptions, be inquisitive and never stop learning, regardless of their age or background. All of our graduates should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved during their time with us, both in and outside of their studies.”
