A THIEF stole a designer handbag then used bank cards they found inside to go on a spending spree.
The bag was snatched from a car in Ticehurst, near Wadhurst, on the morning of January 9.
A gym bag containing clothes and Bose earphones were also taken.
The crook then used bank cards from a purse they found in the bag to buy items at three separate stores including the Jempson’s Local shop in Market Road, Battle, between 12.49pm and 12.56pm on the day of the theft.
Officers investigating the incident have released CCTV footage of a man they believe could help them with their enquiries.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Anyone who recognises him, or who may have any other information relating to the incident, is asked to report online or call 101 quoting serial 697 of 09/01.
