BRUCE Daisley, former UK director at YouTube and European vice-president for Twitter, will attend the Skills Summit as part of Wired Sussex’s Talent Festival 2020.

His speech will open this year’s festival, considered a key conference for senior leaders in the digital and creative sectors.

The tech leader will speak on the topic of digital leadership in the 21st century and share experiences from his leadership career.

Talent Festival 2020 is curated by Brighton-based membership organisation Wired Sussex as part of its effort to sustain and develop the digital sector in Sussex.

Managing director at Wired Sussex Phil Jones said: “Bruce’s contribution to the day sets the scene for business founders, executives and senior managers to then create conversation on how we can build and maintain a stronger, more inclusive workforce for all parts of society.

“Wired Sussex is dedicated to making Brighton the best place for anyone to have a fulfilling career in the digital sector and Bruce’s expertise and insight undoubtedly supports our aim.”

Described as one of the most talented people in the media, Daisley hosts the top business podcast Eat Sleep Work Repeat which focuses on happiness at work.

He is also a bestselling author with his book The Joy Of Work, which explores how to improve workplace culture.

Rebecca Groves, talent festival manager, said: “I’m really excited for Bruce to join us and open the Skills Summit with his vast knowledge of the digital sector.

“His keynote will inform and inspire us to critically look at leadership and workplace culture for the 21st century and reflect on our current approaches.”

Now in its fourth year, the Skills Summit invites business professionals to discuss key challenges in the sector.

The event will take place on April 30 and registration is now open.

Talent Festival will take place from April 27 to May 1 in central Brighton and is the largest digital, creative and tech careers fair in the South East.
